Affiliates are invited to serve on various committees, all of which have different mandates.

 

ZONKIZIZWE

• Report to the AC Board on all Affiliate matters
• Represent the interests of affiliates, sector and province
• Vet new applications for membership
• Take decisions on violations of the Service Level Agreement
• Mandate Imvulamehlo and Faranani on selected projects

Please note: This committee meets once a month (09-1200) on the day of the monthly meeting.

FARANANI

The Faranani group is comprised of Community Based Organisations (CBO’s) with varying areas of focus in local communities within Gauteng Province. The areas of their work include:

• Focus on advocacy
• Direct engagement with the community
• Assist with AIDS Consortium membership drives
• Represent the interests of local communities
• Give input to strategy, particularly on affiliate engagement to constantly strengthen response to HIV AIDS
• Form partnerships with other advocacy groups and schools
• Forming collaborations with grassroot organisations

Please note: This committee meets twice a month (09h00 – 12h00). The day of the monthly meeting being one of those days
